A pioneer in educational graphic novels, Gossamer Books is revolutionizing the way we learn US history. A small privately-held publisher of high quality graphic novels, Gossamer Books is passionate about the importance of history and believes that learning history should be fun for all ages.

Founded in 2003, in Belmont, CA, Gossamer Books was established to promote an entertaining approach towards teaching US history to upper elementary and middle school students. Each book is carefully mapped to the US Department of Education’s National Standards for teaching US History and is painstakingly researched to create an accurate account of the hardships and triumphs of the era.

Angel Oberoi is the President and Founder of Gossamer Books. She has a decade of experience in advertising companies like Saatchi and Saatchi, Grey Advertising, and consumer brand companies like SmithKline Beecham. She has worked as marketing consultant for various Bay Area high tech companies like SocialNet.com, Schoolpop.com, and Business Objects. Angel has been actively involved in her community, and has been participating in Redwood City's Project Read program, and Sikh Mentoring programs in the Bay Area. She has an M.B.A with specialization in Marketing.
